General Requirements

To get started with WhereScape 3D you will need a Windows PC for the WhereScape 3D client that satisfies these minimum requirements.

Workstation

• RAM: Minimum of 4 GB available after the operating system is running
• Free disk space on the installation drive: 1 GB
• Video: 1280×800
• OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.x, Windows 10
• Data Sources Supported:
  • JDBC 3 or 4 compliant drivers
  • ODBC: any data source that has an ODBC 2.x or later compatible driver available
  • Delimited files

WhereScape Metadata Server (PostgreSQL 10.x)

• RAM: Minimum of 4 GB available after the operating system is running
• Free disk space on the installation drive: 2 GB
• 64 bit Windows:
  • Windows 2012
  • Windows 2012R2
  • Windows Server 2016
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8.x
  • Windows 10

NOTE: PostgreSQL 10.x installed on Linux or Mac OS is supported only if performed independently from the WhereScape installer – see PostgreSQL requirements for details.
